How We Run

Fueled By Volunteers

Incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, Mississauga TFC is run primarily by volunteers:
Volunteer Board of Directors
  • elected at the annual general meeting each December
  • oversees the financial affairs of the club, strategic planning, recruitment of coaches and members, fundraising initiatives
  • liaises with the City of Mississauga, Athletics Ontario and Athletics Canada
  • appointed by Board of Directors
  • have a true passion for their discipline, usually stemming from their own experience as athletes
  • trained and certified by NCCP, the national coaching certification body for athletics in Canada

  • staff monthly Bingo events on a rotating basis
  • plan additional fundraising events and initiatives
  • assist at events/competitions hosted by Mississauga TFC
Volunteering in our community: Mississauga TFC athletes, winners of the Best-Run Rest Station, Mississauga Marathon, May 2011. Coaches, parents and athletes pitch in to support marathon runners at the 16K mark.
